Los Angeles-based indie rock band, Local Natives have announced the release of their fifth studio album Time Will Wait For No One, due out July 7th via Loma Vista Recordings. While Vera Farmiga may be known for being a horror icon on the silver screen in ‘The Conjuring’ film franchise and ‘Bates Motel’ TV series, she also has a deep-rooted passion and connection to the music industry. Farmiga’s husband, Renn Hawkey, rose to prominence as the synthesizer player of the nu-metal group Deadsy in the mid-90s. The Mars Volta have announced another string of North American tour dates to kick off September 13th in Minneapolis, MN and wrap up October 11th in Salt Lake City, UT. This headline tour will follow their world tour, spanning the entirety of spring and summer 2023. This news comes after the post-prog-rock group released the album Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazón, a complete acoustic re-working of their 2022 reunion album, The Mars Volta, last week. Bristol bred punk rockers IDLES returned to New York City on Thursday, September 15th for the final show of the North America leg of their 2022 tour. The band landed at the historic Kings Theatre in Flatbush, Brooklyn which provided a stunning juxtaposition between classic movie palace architecture and a contemporary punk rock concert. IDLES leaned heavily into their 2021 LP Crawler but the setlist spanned their entire catalog. New York City indie rock veterans Interpol wrapped up their US tour on Sunday, May 15th at Kings Theatre in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Credited with being on the forefront of the aughts post-punk revival and start of the indie rock movement in the city, Interpol burst on the scene in 2002 with their iconic debut album Turn on the Bright Lights.
