After three albums and countless tours, Valencia has decided to take a break.
For the last 2½ years, Bill Armstrong, co-founder of local rock label SideOneDummy Records, has been working on a side project. His vision was to create a website for independent labels to give away free music.
At L.A.’s Digital Music Forum last week, Anu Kirk, a product lead at digital music service MOG, shared some bad news for musicians adapting to the current state of the music industry: “It sucks,” he said. “It sucks that right now that artists are getting paid so little money by subscription services, but it sucks that artists are getting paid so little money by everyone.” Tell the artists something they don’t know. Just months after releasing their fourth studio album to applause from critics and fans alike, Augustana have announced that they are breaking up. Frontman Dan Layus elaborated in an interview with Red Bull USA.
Simple Plan’s touring plans for the next few months will take them across the continent. Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab, and Marianas Trench will join them for the trek through the US, then after taking some time off for Christmas they’ll head out across Canada with All Time Low, Marianas Trench, and These Kids Wear Crowns.
Hit The Lights and The Dangerous Summer will be heading out across America together on the Take The Fall Tour.
A Night In Hollywood’s live music video for the song, Darling This Is Just The Beginning, filmed in Bakersfield, California. The single is from the band’s latest EP available late fall or early winter, produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Puddle of Mudd, I Am Ghost, Chevelle).
