Exclusive: Far Beyond Football with After The Burial and Veil of Maya Week 5

Writing you guys from the Texas leg of the CRUSH EM’ ALL TOUR, we present to you our week 5 picks and sits.   WEEK 5 brings in a variety of tough match-ups leading to very difficult fantasy decision making.   We’ve taken in as many variables as possible to come up with the best and worst possible starts for you to choose from this week.   Some of them may come to you with little surprise, and some also may also be somewhat of a curveball.   In a bye week like this, we feel it’s more important than ever to “trust your gut” and really go with who you personally believe will give your team the best chance to win.   Here are our week 5 starts and sits, which were not easy to produce, given the match-ups we’re all presented with and have to adjust to this week.

-Justin Lowe of After The Burial
-Brandon Butler of Veil Of Maya

 QB’s START:

Matt Ryan (ATL) vs. GB: Green Bay has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season, along with Ryans devastating playoff loss to last years champs you should see “Mattie Ice” have a good game

Philip Rivers (SD) @ DEN: You’re probably wondering why we are starting Philip Rivers again this week, but the reality is Denver has allowed the most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Eli Manning (NYG) vs. SEA:  Seattle has allowed the 15th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Josh Freeman (TB) @ SF: San Francisco has allowed the 8th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

CHANCE PICK: Alex Smith (SF) vs. TB: Tampa Bay has allowed the 11th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

 QB’s SIT:

-Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) vs. TEN Tennessee has allowed the 3rd least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season. Big Ben has not been able to break into double digits even in most fantasy leagues the entire year, with his foot ailing and no practice for the week we don’t see his hot week coming against a strong Titans secondary.

-Jason Campbell (OAK) vs. HOU Houston has allowed the 9th least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Jay Cutler (CHI) @ DET Detroit has allowed the 6th least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season. Chicago has had some of the most offensive struggles this year with a pourous O-line, lack of a number 1 reciever in Roy Williams, and struggling leadership position in Cutler.

CHANCE SIT: Matt Hasselbeck @ PIT Pittsburgh has allowed the 4th least amount of fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

RB’s START:

Arian Foster (HOU) vs. OAK: Oakland has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing running backs this season. Ben Tate and Derrick Ward are both gametime decisions for Sunday meaning that majority if not all carries should go to Foster.

-Fred Jackson (BUF) vs. PHI: Philadelphia has allowed the most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

-Beanie Wells (ARI) @ MIN: Minnesota has allowed the 8th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season. Beanie Wells is coming off a 3TD almost 200yd week he should be a reliable start for this week.

-Joseph Addai (IND) vs. KC: Kansas City has has allowed the 4th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

CHANCE PICK:   Darren Sproles (NO) @ CAR: Carolina has allowed the 5th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

RB’s SIT:

-LeGarrette Blount (TB) @ SF: San Francisco has allowed the least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season.

-Marshawn Lynch (SEA) @ NYG: Marshawn Lynch does not stand a fucking chance against the New York Giants defense.

-Michael Turner (ATL) vs. GB: Green Bay has allowed the 5th least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season. We see a good ol fashioned shootout through the air going on in Atlanta. Green Bay would like to remain undefeated and the Falcons are out to prove they are still contenders in the NFC.

CHANCE SIT: James Starks (GB) @ ATL: Atlanta has allowed the 10th least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing quarterbacks this season. Ryan Grant will be back in the mix after practicing all week with Green Bay, this will decrease Starks carries.

WR’s START:

-Mike Williams (TB) @ SF: San Francisco has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing wide receivers this season.

-Jordy Nelson (GB) @ ATL: Atlanta has allowed the 4th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing wide receivers this season.

-Pierre Garcon (IND) vs. KC: Kansas City has allowed the 7th most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing wide receivers this season.

-Julio Jones (ATL) vs. GB: Green Bay has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing wide receivers this season. Julio Jones is the 10th most targeted receiver in the league along with Hakeem Nicks, the Falcons invested a lot into this player and will be looking to get him in the endzone on a Sunday night game.

CHANCE PICK: Preston Parker (TB) @ SF: San Francisco has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing wide receivers this season.

CHANCE PICK: Brandon Pettigrew (DET) vs. CHI: Chicago has allowed the most fantasy points in most leagues to opposing tight ends this season.

TE’s SIT:

-Randy McMichael (SD) @ DEN: This guy is fucking ancient.   He’s having a hard time waking up in the morning, let alone scoring fantasy points for you.   There is a reason he is backing up Antonio Gates.

-Heath Miller (PIT) vs. TEN: Tennessee has allowed the 6th least amount of fantasy points in most leagues to opposing tight ends.
