It’s pretty safe to say that 2016 is a time most of us would rather forget. A lot has happened in the past year, and it’s become harder and harder to be thankful in the light of the losses, atrocities, and social and political events that have taken place. But not everything was doom and gloom; as one last present to you this Christmas, we’re giving you some of the good things that happened in 2016, and some reasons why you should still remain hopeful, compassionate, and grateful as we wave goodbye to another year. — All Time Low opening… Read more »

When I was a kid there were two debates: Star Trek or Star Wars? If your answer was “Star Trek” it was immediately followed by a second question: Original or Next Generation (Enterprise)? The Star Trek universe didn’t stop there, though. People are always questioning who the hell we are.” It is the day after the group’s May 6th performance, on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Chilling out in a small, sparsely furnished room at Center Staging in Burbank, California, she and fellow members of the multiracial group resemble a live version of a United Colors of Benetton ad. INDIO, California – Perhaps it was a sign that the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire and Hot Chip were sharing the same bill. Whatever the case, Saturday was certainly one of the most scorching Coachella afternoons ever, with temperatures into the100s for hours on end. That meant the tented stages provided plenty of shadowy solace, while pre-sunset outdoor acts were playing to their diehards and suffering while doing it. (Let’s just say there were multiple hipster rockers quoting Lil Jon’s infamous sweat-dripping lyrics.) Still, Peter Bjorn and John and the Decemberists wore their suits and the Sahara tent was… Read more »

Social D’s audience was filled with aging, tattooed, brill creamed misfits that had assembled for one of the most anticipated shows in some time and the Toronto faithful were ready for a party by… Read more »
