For a band on the verge of releasing a new album during a global pandemic, Chase Atlantic is surprisingly chill.
U.K. band Twin Atlantic will release Free, the anticipated follow-up to 2009’s critically lauded mini-album Vivarium, digitally on May 3rd in the U.S. via Red Bull Records. Free was recorded at Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica , CA with legendary producer Gil Norton.
“Stand and Deliver,” the first song recorded by the reunited No Doubt, leaked yesterday, nearly a month before the band was due to perform the song on a flashback episode of Gossip Girl. Like No Doubt’s cover of Talk Talk’s “It’s My Life,” Gwen Stefani and her bandmates manage to take Adam & The Ants’ “Prince Charming” hit and skew it both more modern and more new wave. Stefani replaces Ant’s thick British vocals from the original with her own valley girl cadence, befitting of the band’s role as early 1980s Los Angeles rockers on Gossip Girl. As the nation asks “What more can we give?,” many of the world’s greatest performers are teaming with Clear Channel Entertainment for a star-studded music spectacular, “United We Stand,” to raise money in support of the recovery efforts from the September 11th attack on America. The eight-hour music festival will be held Sunday, October 21, at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC, beginning at 1:00 pm EST.
