MUNA is taking over and we are not mad about it. They seem to have their name on so many massive projects, and we still can’t get enough. The band just finished supporting Lorde on an Australian tour and co-headlining Sydney World Pride, and they are making waves in the United States. While in Australia, they did a cover of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” for Triple J’s Like a Version. (Triple J is an Australian radio station that invites all sorts of artists to cover songs.) Wednesday have released their newest full-length album Rat Saw God today via Dead Oceans. To celebrate the release, the band have also dropped a music video for their somber yet catchy track “Quarry“. The new album is deeply empathetic, a patchwork of portraits of the American South. Now, to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the album, vocalist Hayley Williams has shared some insight into the album that was destined to… Read more »

Boygenius has been making us unproductive with all of their work they’re putting out. Currently we’re blaming our lack of work on the record, but now we also have the film. After releasing their first full length album, the record, they’ve given us a 15 minute short film for their songs “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” and “True Blue.” To make the deal even sweeter, the piece was directed by Kristen Stewart. The story is told in three parts: It starts with Julien Baker working on an old car while they feature “$20”, Phoebe Bridgers in the middle of a Monster… Read more »
