MUNA Keeps on Rising to the Top

MUNA is taking over and we are not mad about it. They seem to have their name on so many massive projects, and we still can’t get enough. The band just finished supporting Lorde on an Australian tour and co-headlining Sydney World Pride, and they are making waves in the United States.

While in Australia, they did a cover of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” for Triple J’s Like a Version. (Triple J is an Australian radio station that invites all sorts of artists to cover songs.) This cover will have you in tears. Their vocals are haunting and will send chills down your spine. It’s an absolute must listen.

Now that they’re back stateside, they are keeping their schedules full and we are more grateful than ever. They kicked off opening for Taylor Swift in Texas and have a total of nine tour dates on arguably the most anticipated tour of the year. Anyone that has tickets to see this MUNA/Swift combo will have their minds blown.

Not only are they part of this massive tour, but they are playing in two of the biggest music festivals in the US – Coachella and Bonnaroo. In between those two festivals, they headline their very own twenty-one stop tour, with a lot of dates sold out already. Outside of the festivals, they’ll start in Seattle on April 17th and wrap up back in Seattle on July 22nd.

If you thought they’d be going on a nice long vacation after all of this, you thought wrong. MUNA will head back overseas in August to support boygenius on their tour and play a few festivals over there.

We’re not quite sure how they have all of this energy, but god are we glad that they do. MUNA just keeps on rising and they deserve every bit of it.
