The normal buzzing and ruckus in Lowertown St. Paul is due to the recent construction on practically every street, but on July 31st, the loud noise was due to the inaugural Lowertown Music Fest. A celebration of Minnesota’s music scene, the festival showcases multiple hometown musicians and bands, while bringing in one international act.

The group known for turning “Snakes on a Plane” from a punchline into a radio hit landed guest vocals from the ultimate good girl with a bad streak – Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf, the show’s bitchy queen bee with a loyal heart. Fall Out Boy have become the latest rockers to take on the iconic Simpsons theme for an episode of the animated series. LOS ANGELES — Madonna’s only four days removed from her quickie divorce from Guy Ritchie, but the Material Cougar doesn’t seem to be wasting much time on the singles scene. E! News has learned that the 50-year-old Queen of Pop enjoyed the cozy company of 33-year-old rumored boy-toy Alex Rodriguez during a late-night private flight Monday, with the keep-’em-guessing couple arriving in Miami in the wee hours this morning. Quiet time is a rarity for the Jonas Brothers these days. Following a special performance for more than 500 screaming tween and teen girls at Apple’s downtown Manhattan store on Tuesday night, the brothers – Kevin, 20, Joe, 18, and Nick, 15 – huddled in a stairwell, trying to find a quiet space to conduct an interview with The Associated Press. Good luck with that.
