Matt Healy of The 1975 kissed a male audience member during the band’s August 14 show in Dubai to protest anti-LGBTQ laws in the United Arab Emirates. A long-time supporter of the LGBTQ community Healy stands by his actions. In a tweet Healy said: “Thank you Dubai you were so amazing. I don’t think we’ll be allowed back due to my ‘behaviour’ but know that I love you and I wouldn’t have done anything differently given the chance again”. We wouldn’t want him to do anything differently. Keep on kissin’!
