Geek Girl Riot is here with a TV binge-watch update before revisiting the Sandman universe, which leads to a conversation about femme empowerment.
Today the nerds start out thinkin’ about what the cannabis is like in the “traditional” markets in other states (aka black or illicit markets). Get ready to dance! This week Ash Gordon joins the show to talk about her journey in the music industry and the decision to release her own music. Ash’s journey is fueled by hard work, relationship building, and the mission to make music that empowers us all. She’s also getting ready to take her talents to the next level with the hit DRAG: THE MUSICAL, coming to the stage this September.

Alexisonfire released Otherness, their 5th LP and first in 13 years, back in June and are on tour in support. The album stays true to Alexisonfire’s signature post-hardcore sound; battling vocal styles between Dallas Green’s sweeping melodies and George Pettit’s frenetic screamo. The Ontario born group came to New York City’s South Street seaport for a rooftop show at Pier 17 on Saturday, July 23rd. Idobi photographer Joseph Buscarello was on the roof over the East River – see the full photo gallery below. [imgfull] Alexisonfire [/imgfull]
