In recent years, Indigenous women have fought to grab hold of the spotlight and give us a glimpse into the beauty of their culture as well as the horrors they’ve experienced over the years. From the Marvel Cinematic Universe to award-winning films to the stage, here are just a few of the powerful Indigenous women defying the stereotypes and taking back what’s rightfully theirs.

After releasing their stunning 2023 record EVERGREEN this past summer, PVRIS is ready to head out on a 2024 spring and summer tour with an unreal lineup. Beginning on April 24, Scene Queen will support the “LOVE IS A…” artists throughout Europe and the UK, and select dates include opener Sophie Powers. In 2015, Frank Zummo joined Sum 41. Since taking over on drums for the storied group, they’ve released two full-length albums and are gearing up to drop their final double album, Heaven :x: Hell, out March 29 via Rise Records. The ending of Sum 41 is a weird thought.
