Dayseeker has delivered a reimagined version of their single, “Neon Grave.” The post-hardcore act is exploring the slower, acoustic side of themselves with their upcoming album, Replica. It drops on April 19 via Spinefarm and showcases how the group can maneuver between different sound spaces.

Agony and loss mixed with heartbreak are prevalent in this version. It creates another level of what “Neon Grave” can convey through this reimagination of the original which generates a new dimension of sentimental meaning for vocalist Rory Rodriguez.

Neon Grave‘ is about my father’s battle and passing from cancer,” he explains. “Getting to reimagine this one in a slower setting has a completely different emotion to it now.”

Compared to the song’s original version, Rodriguez doesn’t step too far away from his powerful, melancholy vocals. Instead of sprinkling in heavy screams during the breakdown, he amplifies his voice and displays true emotive actions through this heartwrenching rendition.

Listeners have already gotten an idea of what to expect from their upcoming LP. They previously covered Evanescence’s “My Immortal” and dropped several other tracks that demonstrate their versatility to the softer side of things. The Southern Californian act also tapped Beartooth’s Caleb Shomo, Holding Absence’s Lucas Woodland, and indie artist Amber DeLaRosa to add their flair to songs across the tracklisting.

Fans can catch Dayseeker on their spring tour, which features Polaris, Rain City Drive, and more, as support. For more info and to grab tickets, visit their site.
