It’s no question that late night drives are best accompanied by great music, but sometimes choosing the playlist to fit the mood you’re in when you’re alone with your thoughts can be difficult. This week we’ve compiled some of our favorite albums to play on those long, nighttime drives when you’re feeling especially introspective.
Long Island is ballin this year with new albums… New music from Bayside, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New (?) and I AM THE AVALANCHE. and I had the chance to speak with long time Gunz Show fan and friend, Vinnie Caruana of The Movielife / I Am The Avalanche. Since its inception in 2012, Today’s Mixtape Festival has been one of our favorite fests to look forward to each year. For this week’s Tuesday Ten, here are the ten bands playing this year who we think you can’t afford to miss.

2013 was the year of the reunion, with everyone from Fall Out Boy to Knapsack teaming back up with their old bandmates, whether it was for a one-off anniversary tour or a full-blown comeback. Still, even with all of those reunions, there are still a handful of bands left who we wish would bless us with one last tour or some new music. Here are the top ten bands we wish we could see a reunion from – no matter how impossible our dreams may be.
Manchester Orchestra will head out on tour in April with Kevin Devine and Balance and Composure. Tickets are available now here. Yesterday the band released the track “Top Notch” and are now giving it away for free on their website. There you will also find pre-orders for their upcoming album COPE. I Am The Avalanche have just announced what’s sure to be a killer spring tour. They’ll be joined by The Swellers, Turnover, and Diamond Youth for a run across the US that starts in New York in March, and finishes up in California a month later. The Wolverines Tour 2014 goes on sale this Friday, January 17th, and tickets are going to go quickly so don’t miss out!
