Canadian alt-rockers, The Beaches have dropped a brand new single today, “Blame Brett” and announced their forthcoming sophomore LP Blame My Ex due out September 15th. The new track is extremely cheeky to say the least. The Beaches give a new perspective to the break-up anthem by being equally parts funny, mournful, and scathing. They sing “So sorry in advance / Before you take off your pants / I wouldn’t let me meet your friends / I wouldn’t let me near your dad”. Following the release of her debut solo single, Jen Razavi, the co-frontwoman of The Bombpops, has issued the accompanying music video for “Saw In Half.” Razavi‘s debut track, produced by Will Yip (known for his work with Circa Survive, Turnstile, and La Dispute), is a hauntingly atmospheric showcase that beautifully draws out her tenderness and vulnerability. Post-hardcore unit Rain City Drive (known formerly as SLAVES) has launched a reimagined rendition of their fan-favorite single “Blood Runs Cold.” The fresh take on the track will be featured on the group’s forthcoming deluxe edition of their self-titled alum, which is set to arrive via Thriller Records on June 23. Of the deluxe album, fans can expect five reimagined tracks from the band’s discography, including “Cutting It Close,” “Waiting On You,” “Bury A Lie,” “Psycho,” and their popular single “Talk To A Friend,” which has amassed more than 23 million streams since it’s release in 2020.
