Whether you like it or not, Machine Gun Kelly is an anomaly of the music industry, seemingly capable of anything he sets his mind to. After starting his career as a Cleveland rap sensation, the 32-year-old artist started to marry his rapper roots with pop-punk influences as evidenced by his 2019 full-length album Hotel Diablo before releasing two true-to-form pop-punk albums—2020’s Tickets To My Downfall and 2022’s mainstream sellout. Respectively, Tickets To My Downfall has been certified Platinum while mainstream sellout has been certified Gold, and both albums boast massive features including Halsey, blackbear, Bring Me The Horizon, WILLOW, and… Read more »

Today, the board company launched an exclusive collaborative collection with My Chemical Romance to pay homage to the band’s storied career. Earlier this year, Beartooth joined Papa Roach on their collaborative effort, “Cut The Line,” a re-released track featured on Papa Roach’s 2023 album Ego Trip. Now, we’ve got our first taste of 2023 of Caleb Shomo and co. doing what they do best on their new single, “Sunshine!” Marking the group’s first new release since July 2022’s “Riptide,” “Sunshine!” is a startlingly optimistic track offering filthy breakdowns with the group settling for a juxtaposing acoustic, stripped-down chorus that stands out amongst their past releases. Alt-rock idols The Used have launched their latest single “Numb” pulled from their tenth forthcoming full-length, Toxic Positivity, set to drop May 19 via Big Noise. I learn Pete’s story about how he got to LA and did the drum thing, and it reminded me of myself, we had a good conversation and I learn a lot about his journey.
A band formed during the pandemic, poptropicaslutz! came onto the scene fast and hard. Quick after their inception, the duo signed to Epitaph Records in the summer of 2020 and began releasing music at a rapid rate. poptropicaslutz! is a genre-surfing hyperpunk band at their core, but both draw considerable inspiration from a variety of genres and decades. They showcase their glitched-out, auto-tuned melodies with the feel of 2010’s SoundCloud Rap, Myspace era indie pop and over-produced alternative rock. Today the group has announced a lengthy US tour with support from Chloe Lilac, Sophie Powers and DJ aldrch. The tour… Read more »
