Marvel’s Jessica Jones season 3 returns on Netflix. Jessica (Krysten Ritter) is still a hot mess after her stint as a superhero and even though she’s pretty over it, there’s a bad guy that needs a butt kicking. This season we finally get to see Hellcat, Jessica’s friend Trish (Rachael Taylor), start her crime-fighting career. The head bad guy this time around is Gregory Salinger (Jeremy Bobb), a serial killer with a high IQ, and it looks like Jessica will have more than a few battles of the brains on her hands. Miley Cyrus and Marc Jacobs have collaborated on a hoodie to support Planned Parenthood. In their advertisement for the collab, they posted an image of Miley licking a cake with the phrase “Abortion is healthcare” on Instagram. It’s commendable that the entertainer and designer are using their platform to raise money and awareness for the healthcare provider. Often misrepresented as solely an “abortion clinic”, Planned Parenthood provides MANY other services for women and men. The design of the cake has raised more than just pro-birth eyebrows. Well that was one hell of a headline to write. HBO’s Chernobyl is a solid show. Obviously the subject matter is tough because so many people died or were misplaced and the ensuing cover-up by the Soviet Union was terrible, though expected because when you know what hits the fan, nobody wants to take credit for screwing everything up. Hence scapegoats, lies, and persuasion thru intimidation. But the show itself explained the story in what I thought was a fair matter. That is, until now.
