It’s all about The Power of Madonna this week on the Billboard 200 albums chart where the soundtrack from last week’s Madonna-themed episode of Fox TV’s “Glee” debuts at No. 1 with 98,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Jonas Brothers, 'Twilight' rock Kids' Choice Awards


They may have only been up for one award on Saturday night at the Kids’ Choice Awards, but the night definitely belonged to the Jonas Brothers. A who’s who of teen stars were on hand at the 22nd annual awards show, hosted by Dwayne Johnson. Beyonce starts "Fierce" atop U.S. album chart


NEW YORK —-  Beyonce has scored her third straight No. 1 debut on the pop album chart with the double-disc “I Am … Sasha Fierce.” The Music World/Columbia album shifted a whopping 482,000 copies in the United States during the week ended November 23, according to Nielsen SoundScan . The set, split between material credited to R&B star Beyonce and her new alter-ego, Sasha Fierce, has already spawned the hits “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” Beyonce’s 2003 solo debut, ” Dangerously in Love ,” started with 317,000, while 2006’s “B-Day” moved 541,000.… Read more »

Zac Efron has appendix removed


“High School Musical” star Zac Efron underwent emergency surgery Tuesday to remove his appendix, his publicist said. The 20-year-old actor had the operation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Gina Hoffman said. Efron became a teen heartthrob with his starring role as Troy Bolton in the hit Disney Channel TV movie “High School Musical” and its sequel.
