Skynyrd, Barenaked Ladies Keep on Cruisin'


Atlanta-based cruise company Sixthman has announced the return of three popular music cruises from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Barenaked Ladies and Sister Hazel, which will set sail early next year. Sixthman will launch Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Simple Man, the Rock Boat VIII and Barkenaked Ladies’ Ships & Dip III in conjunction with Carnival Cruise Lines starting in January 2008. Anna Nicole Smith Collapses, Dies


Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday (February 8) in a Florida hospital. She was 39. The former model and reality-TV star was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital after an operator at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida – where Smith was discovered unconscious – called 911 at 1:38 p.m. ET. According to Seminole County authorities, Smith’s personal nurse found her and called the hotel operator. Smith’s bodyguard administered CPR. Court Dismisses Suit Over Aaliyah's Death


New York – Aaliyah’s record company cannot sue the video producer that arranged the 2001 airplane flight from the Bahamas in which the singer was killed, an appeals court has ruled. The Manhattan court dismissed the lawsuit brought by Blackground Records, saying only the singer’s parents had a right to sue for her wrongful death. The court said the parents did so and were compensated.
