The day has finally arrived! Taylor Acorn has made our Friday by announcing her debut album, Survival In Motion. The album is scheduled to drop on September 13 and can be pre-ordered here. Additionally, Acorn has shared the titular track pulled from the album, which will appear alongside previous singles “High Horse” and “Greener.”

“I feel like I’ve been waiting a lifetime to be able to say ‘I’m putting out a debut album,’ but in all honesty, I’m so glad I waited for as long as I have,” Acorn proudly shares in a press release. “I feel like I’ve finally found my sound—I’ve fallen in love with every single song in its own right, the writing process was truly something I’ll never forget—and to top it off, I got to share the experience with my best friends and some of the most amazing and talented people I know.”

She continues, “I’m not sure what will come next, but this chapter is something that I am so unbelievably proud of, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. I hope you love it and I hope you find peace in knowing that no matter what we go through, we are all walking representation of survival in motion and life is a gift no matter how crazy it can be.”

The slow-burn anthem bursts with Acorn’s signature prowess in the chorus, where her voice soars and captivates listeners with each note. Across the track, she navigates the themes of survival and the deep bonds society forms as we collectively endure the struggles of life. Her lyrics, “We’re not too different you and I/We’re all out here out running time,” create a sense of shared resilience and strength. Check out “Survival In Motion” below.

Ahead of the release of Survival In Motion, Acorn will be headlining a handful of shows and touring alongside Boys Like Girls, supporting Dashboard Confessional this fall. You can check out her full touring schedule for 2024 below and purchase tickets here.
