Get ready to take an out-of-this-world trip with trio The Wldlfe, who have just revealed their most unique offering to date with “Saturn.” The track is set to appear on their forthcoming album Revolver, due out on October 2, via Riser House Records. The LP is set to feature fellow singles “No Sleep,” “Heart,” “Lips,” and “Parachute.” Here, The Wldlfe is at their most experimental and continues to show why they are indie-pop’s next legacy act.
Vocalist Jansen Hogan shares, “The day we wrote ‘Saturn’ was a day without AC in the dead of summer. Needless to say, there was quite a bit of willpower in this session to bring it together. However, the song we were writing ended up being a poetic distraction. We had brought a lyrical idea to LA that at the time was simply, ‘If i could steal the ring of Saturn and put it on your hand…'”
He continues, “The idea of ‘Saturn’ naturally felt sci-fi and more experimental for us and led us down a road sonically that we haven’t really tried yet. I remember jokingly repeating the, ‘I could’ve been everything you wanted if I was your man,’ line and all of us looking up at each other and being like, ‘That’s actually cool for this.’ We’re particularly proud of this one because we tried something out of the ordinary for us and landed on something special.”

Vocalist, guitarist, and producer Carson Hogan shared with idobi Radio about the process, “On the day we wrote it with Saint Kid, we just kind of started jamming. He had a little weird like toy cigar box amp that sounded like really weird and had a kind of fuzzy guitar tone to it, and we just kind of started jamming with the chords…And by the time we were done, it was a great song just the way that it was, and we didn’t want to take away from kind of that stripped -back [sound]… So that one was really cool.”
