No regrets for The Regrettes. The indie-punk rockers announced today on their social channels that they will host their final show on December 21 at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets go on sale next Friday, November 17.
In a Facebook post, the band says, “If you’re reading this or you’ve been to a show or bought a record, you’ve given us all some of the best years of our lives. After all these amazing years together, we are parting ways to focus on other projects. There is absolutely nothing but love in our hearts for each other and you all & we’re eternally grateful.”
The act started in 2015 with their EP release of Hey Now. This led them to sign with Warner Records and jump on tours with Sleigh Bells, Kate Nash, and a South By Southwest appearance. Throughout the group’s shared history, they released three albums and two EPs. They’ve also performed at Lollapalooza and opened for twenty one pilots on their European leg of the Bandito tour.

In 2018, the band experienced member changes, with drummer Maxx Morando and bass guitarist Sage Chavis exiting the band. Their last EP they worked on was Attention Seeker. The band, with new members Brooke Dickson and Drew Thomsen, released Further Joy, their last album, in 2022.
The LP was written during the pandemic, and frontwoman Lydia Night said in their press release for the album, “I was stuck in a loop of wanting to be better, wanting to be good, and therefore I couldn’t be here. I couldn’t be present.” With original guitarist Genessa Garino in tow as well, The Regrettes crafted an album that broke free of a cycle of chasing happiness.
Their most recent song is a cover of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” that came out in March.
