Following the success of their recent singles “Neverbloom,” “Frozen,” and “Medicate Me,” a collaboration with Dayseeker’s Rory Rodriguez, Rain City Drive has announced their sophomore album, Things Are Different Now. The 11-track collection is slated to arrive via Thriller Records next month on September 27. As if that wasn’t news enough, the Florida group has also released the next preview of the album with their new single, “Over Me.”

“‘Over Me’ is about finding out that someone you were dating has moved on,” vocalist Matt McAndrew shares. “Even when you know the relationship has ended, there’s still the shock of seeing them with someone new and realizing the past is dead and buried.”

The anthemic single finds the group hitting a stride as they inject their signature melodic post-hardcore with an irresistible grooviness. McAndrew’s vocals soar over the meticulously crafted instrumentation as the all-too-relatable chorus transforms into a sing-it-at-the-top-of-your-lungs moment: “Thought that you’d go with me/Now you’re over me.”

Just in time for their album release in September, Rain City Drive will be hitting the road in the U.S. Then, in November, the group will join Dayseeker overseas as support. Check out their full touring schedule below and purchase tickets here.
