Ahead of their support run alongside Dayseeker, which kicks off today in Buffalo, NY, Rain City Drive has issued a collaborative single, “Medicate Me,” with vocalist Rory Rodriguez.
“‘Medicate Me’ is about chasing the high of a toxic relationship to escape boredom/complacency,” frontman Matt McAndrew shares of the new release. “Featuring Rory Rodriguez from Dayseeker, produced by Daniel Braunstein, mixed by Zakk Cervini, it was a blast to bring this song to life with such talented people.”
Together, McAndrew and Rodriguez harmonize seamlessly, their vocals entangling through the vibrant instrumentation and culminating in a chorus that is both mesmerizing and infectious. “Medicate Me” stands simultaneously as one of Rain City Drive‘s “heaviest and most pop leaning songs to date,” offering a tantalizing glimpse into their “ambitions and hard hitting third album.”
