Ghost are following up on last year’s extraordinary album IMPERA in the only way they know how. By taking on some rock and roll classics, a tradition that the band have stuck to for many years now. They have announced the details of PHANTOMIME, a new EP that comprises five cover versions of songs from the past.

The artwork looks like this:

And the tracklisting like this:

01. “See No Evil” (Television)
02. “Jesus He Knows Me” (Genesis)
03. “Hanging Around” (The Stranglers)
04. “Phantom of the Opera” (Iron Maiden)
05. “We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)” (Tina Turner)

You can check out “Jesus He Knows Me” right now, originally appearing on Genesis’ 1991 classic album We Can’t Dance. Teased via a “Jesus Is Coming” campaign, alongside Chapter 17 of the band’s ongoing webisode series, it pays homage to the original whilst adding all of the driving passion and sensual vigour that make Ghost such a unique piece of the current metal landscape.

Here’s the absolutely mad video for the track, with viewer discretion being advised:

Ghost have become a viral sensation over the last year with their track “Mary On A Cross”, which has also been certified Gold in the US.
