Demi Lovato is a chameleon. The powerhouse vocalist successfully outdoes herself in every genre she touches, whether it be pop, R&B, or somewhere in-between. These days, Lovato is dazzling her fans with rock performances, and is diving further into her alternative roots with the release of her new album, REVAMPED. The 10-track collection of songs takes tracks from each stage of her career and rearranges them for a grittier, punk-infused sonic experience. REVAMPED proves that Lovato not only has a seat at the alternative/rock genre’s table but deserves a throne.
There are a few standout collaborators on the record, including Bert McCracken of The Used, Slash, and Nita Strauss. Pop-punk fans have also been eagerly anticipating The Maine feature on the rock version of “Neon Lights.” Originally releasing the track in 2013 off of her radio pop record Demi, the first arrangement is laden with pulsing synthesizers and the timbre of EDM remixes from the era. “Neon Lights (Rock Version)” takes the song out of the rave and into the rock club with a real drum kit, guitar breakdowns, and synths reminiscent of your favorite Bring Me The Horizon chorus.
The Maine’s John O’Callaghan joins in on the second verse and adds a unique texture to the track with his resonance. Lovato’s vocal delivery pairs beautifully with O’Callaghan’s, and the REVAMPED version is a triumphant new rendition of the 2013 radio hit.

The Maine’s collaboration with Demi Lovato isn’t the only thing the band is celebrating. Lead guitarist Jared Monaco just got married to his long-term sweetheart and former Myspace scene queen, Jac Vanek. Monaco popped the question back in 2021 during the band’s sold-out performance in Los Angeles, CA. Now, the couple is sharing their stunning wedding photos with fans who have been following their relationship since the beginning.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Chateau de Varennes in South Eastern France, and the scenery behind the couple looks like a fairytale come to life.
“JAC + JARED ALWAYS & 4EVER,” Vanek writes in an Instagram post.
Demi Lovato even shared her support for the couple in a comment on the post.
“I’M SO HAPPY FOR YALL!!!! (Now adopt me pls) LOVE YOU BOTH,” she writes.
