You Need To Listen To The Acoustic Rendition Of “blame” By The Maine

As per usual, The Maine has been more than generous to fans, offering amazing collabs, dropping an incredible ninth record, and sharing new acoustic renditions of their singles. After teasing a snippet of the track earlier this week, the group finally shared a stripped-down version of the dance-inducing, pop-laced banger “blame,” resulting in a haunting, heartfelt performance. Frontman John O’Callaghan’s vocals absolutely shine on this somber rendition, departing from the glitzy disco aesthetics and sounds of its original counterpart. Frankly, be prepared to sob. Listen to The Maine’s acoustic reinterpretation of “blame” below. In a recent Instagram clip, listeners can… Read more »

Demi Lovato And The Maine Burn Like “Neon Lights” On New Collab

Demi Lovato is a chameleon. The powerhouse vocalist successfully outdoes herself in every genre she touches, whether it be pop, R&B, or somewhere in-between. These days, Lovato is dazzling her fans with rock performances, and is diving further into her alternative roots with the release of her new album, REVAMPED. The 10-track collection of songs takes tracks from each stage of her career and rearranges them for a grittier, punk-infused sonic experience. REVAMPED proves that Lovato not only has a seat at the alternative/rock genre’s table but deserves a throne.  There are a few standout collaborators on the record, including… Read more »

Arizona’s premier emo band The Maine are back with a brand-new music video for their track “thoughts i have while lying in bed.” The song comes from their 8123-released LP and self-titled ninth full album.   The music video, directed by Nick Stafford, is simple, but positively stunning. The video featuring lead vocalist John O’Callaghan is shot in black and white on a bridge with a cityscape in the background. Seemingly, “thoughts i have while lying in bed” is a one-shot take, which is even more impressive. Check out the full music video below.  The earnest indie tune is rich in… Read more »

The Maine Share Beautiful Cover Of Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer”

Our favorite Arizona band, The Maine have shared an incredible cover of “Cruel Summer” from Taylor Swift’s Lover album. The cover starts with soft, roomy guitars before pushing forward into a synth-driven chorus. John O’Callaghans vocals are somber and beautiful as always. This is a cover we never knew we needed, but are so grateful for. The Maine have also recently announced that they will be re-recording their sophomore album, Black & White. In true Taylor Swift inspired fashion, they are doing this in order to re-claim the record, as it was their only major label release. The Maine’s vocalist John… Read more »
