After blasting their new single via their trusty fan-signed tour van in front of Zia Records, The Maine has officially dropped “Touch” for all to enjoy. The track is accompanied with a music video featuring lead vocalist John O’Callaghan in all-white dancing through a green field under picture-perfect blue, cloudy skies.

“Touch” shows off the band’s romantic, sexy side with the lyrics: “I like the way you say/You want me with your mouth closed/Forget the smoke alarm/Just open all the windows.”

As far as sonics, The Maine keeps reinventing themselves, maturing and delving into their authentic selves with each track. Of “Touch,” the band noted on social media, “On another episode of, ‘This Doesn’t Sound Like The Maine,’ we dive into the sonic drama of their new song ‘Touch.’ Seventeen years in, I too am unsure if TM has an actual sound, but all I know is that this is where our creative taste took us and to me it sounds like a rattlesnake in the trousers.”

On July 2, the band posted an extended statement that teased an upcoming project. “All that to be said we’ve been up to something…” they wrote.
