Real Friends has revealed a new single and accompanying music video for “Our Love Was Like A Sad Song.” Preceded by “Waiting Room” and “When You Were Here,” the track will be featured on the band’s recently-announced upcoming record Blue Hour, due out on October 11.

While on Sad Summer Fest, Real Friends gave attendees the inside scoop on the record before its initial announcement. In a pamphlet, they shared, “Thank you for spending time with us today at Sad Summer Fest. We appreciate the energy you give us as well as the opportunity to play our songs for you.
We are currently getting ready to release our new album this fall and wanted to share a few things from it with you. These are our most vulnerable songs and we put a lot of care into making them, we hope they resonate with you like they do for us.”

They continue, “Blue Hour symbolizes the pain of certain life chapters coming to an end while simultaneously representing the potential joys of what lies ahead. It’s a time when we shed tears of sadness for the past and tears of joy for the glimmers of hope in the future.”
