Cauldron are continuing the UK metalcore charge with their new track “Standing In Awe Of A Monument“. Taken from their upcoming debut album Suicide In The City, set for release on November 03 via The Coming Strife Records (UK) /  Ephyra Records (US), it is the latest masterstroke from a band unlike any other. Combining the intensity of 00s metalcore with the emotion and clarity that defined the emo movement, they build bridges in a way that gets the blood pumping. This chapter kicked off with the release of “Rejection Pact”, a vicious assault on the senses that ebb and flow between battery and beauty brilliantly. And now, with this new offering, the tapestry is even more glorious than before.

Standing In Awe Of A Monument” does exactly what it says on the tin. The feeling of staring at something that makes you feel like there is powers higher than yourself at play in this world. Though it may be presented in the form of art, it can also represent something much more personal. A relationship with someone and how it moulds into something you cannot comprehend. The sentiment is wrapped tight inside of a masterclass of riffs and breakdowns, delivered with a passion and pride that ensnares the senses.

Vocalist Frazer Cassling had this to say about the track:

“‘Standing in Awe of a Monument’ is a song about struggling to comprehend something so profound it’s almost alien to you. The monument in the title can refer to anything, but in the context of this song, it refers to watching someone that you love turn into something that you no longer recognise. Something that is complex and unbelievable in its strangeness. This was one of the hardest songs on the album to write and went through many different changes before the version you hear now, but this is definitely the song in its most refined form.”
