Considering their last album was released in 1993, you’d think the Breeders could have come up with an album title in that time. Instead, they named their new release Title TK, which in journalism jargon means “title to come” – used when information is still forthcoming. The Breeders will launch their first club tour in more than eight years on January 28 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The monthlong trek includes two nights in New York and wraps up February 28 in Anaheim, California, an Elektra Records spokesperson said Friday (December 14). The Breeders went on hiatus after the release of 1993’s Last Splash until founder Kim Deal, formerly of the Pixies, convinced her twin sister, Breeders guitarist Kelley Deal, to play on some tracks she had written in 1999. Former Pixies bassist Kim Deal and her side-project-turned-chart-topping-power-pop-band are just a few days away from completing their first album since 1993’s Last Splash. On November 25, Chicago got an honorary new street: Steve Albini Way. In May, the iconic producer passed at 61 years old. Foo Fighters have announced six additional dates to their upcoming US headline tour kicking off this May. The new dates will take place in August, September, and October in Spokane, WA, Salt Lake City, UT, Lake Tahoe, NV, Virginia Beach, VA, Phoenix, AZ, and El Paso, TX.
