GHØSTKID has announced a new album, Hollywood Suicide, and dropped the first single from the record, “FSU.” The new full-length comes out on March 22 via Century Media Records, ahead of their upcoming spring tour with Black Veil Brides, Creeper, and Dark Divine. The post-hardcore act embodies an edgy and (positively) offensive realness that hasn’t been in the scene for a bit. Dramatic make-up, masks at times, but overall, they appear like varieties of the undead, especially in the music video for the new single. Last year a report from USC brought to light that Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders make up less than 6% of speaking roles in the entertainment industry and 4% of lead roles. The study looked at 13,000 popular films and found that of the 4% with AAPI leads, only 6 were women, 0 were women over 40, 0 were in the LGBTQ+ community, and 14 were Dwayne Johnson.
