GHØSTKID Drops “FSU,” Announces New LP ‘Hollywood Suicide’

GHØSTKID has announced a new album, Hollywood Suicide, and dropped the first single from the record, “FSU.” The new full-length comes out on March 22 via Century Media Records, ahead of their upcoming spring tour with Black Veil Brides, Creeper, and Dark Divine.

The post-hardcore act embodies an edgy and (positively) offensive realness that hasn’t been in the scene for a bit. Dramatic make-up, masks at times, but overall, they appear like varieties of the undead, especially in the music video for the new single. All of which makes GHØSTKID stand out as new proverours in the genre.

Vocalist Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler explains that the song was inspired by a popular villain: “The track was inspired by the Joker from Batman and the pure chaos and anarchy that the character is representing. Even if the lyrics circle around self-destructive behavior, the song is more about the feeling of freedom by dismissing the rules.”

Biesler says he felt like something was missing in his project for him after the pandemic. “It didn’t feel real to me. I became distanced from the music.” Through a trip to Los Angeles, California, he found a resurgence for his art and developed the new LP.
