Enter Shikari and FEVER 333’s Jason Aalon Butler release their latest collab with the new single “Losing My Grip.” This is both acts’ first new music in 2024, ahead of their upcoming arena tour in the UK and EU. With innovative traits from both artists, the new song joins Butler’s fast-paced delivery and socially aware lyrics with lead singer and producer Rou Reynolds‘s distorted electro mix that’s solidified in unity with equally aggressive vocals from both.

Butler says that he’s always been a fan of Enter Shikari; “they are an entity in their own lane.”

That’s evident on this track, especially as they bring out their influences of hardcore punk, drum, and dirty bass. Lyrically, it stays true to both bands’ backgrounds as being socially proactive: “What a thrill/All omnipotence and zero vigilance/We’re just as doomed as the ones in books.”

Reynolds explains that it’s about “the immense power that our species now wields, and the pressure and weight that that adds to our lives. We’re the only species capable of destroying itself (and all others) completely and, increasingly, it appears as though we’re only too willing. ‘Losing My Grip’ is about the fight to stay sane whilst living in a deeply and dangerously flawed system.”
