After releasing their new single, “Heat Me Up” in late May, Boston Manor has released an official music video. The track follows up previous releases “Container” and “Sliding Doors,” which are all set to appear on their forthcoming record Sundiver. “‘Heat Me Up’ ended up being the first track we finished on the album. We’d gone down to Welwyn Garden City where we were going to record the album to write and do some pre-production,” frontman Henry Cox says. “It was actually our day off, it was a blistering hot day and we had nothing to do, so we had a… Read more »
Ahead of their fifth studio album, Boston Manor has released the lead single “HEAT ME UP” to generate excitement for their forthcoming full-length Sundiver. The single is dark and mysterious but carries a certain warm familiarity to it. Accompanied by two earlier releases, “Container” and “Sliding Doors,” the album carries resounding themes of understanding and second chances. The first a short shadowy-noiry electronic record set over one night and the second a sprawling rock… Read more »
Marking their second new single of the year, Boston Manor has unleashed the intricate, riff-driven “Sliding Doors.” Led by a guitar-heavy arrangement and amplified by frontman Henry Cox’s unmistakable prowess, the track is a reflection of the group’s past, present, and, ultimately, future. Their new single follows the release of “Container” in February. According to Cox, the track shares its namesake with the 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow-led film Sliding Doors. The movie depicts Paltrow’s lead character, Helen Quilley, in two alternative worlds where the decisions she makes on a single day inform the rest of her life. Boston Manor’s latest single… Read more »
Following the release of their fourth full-length album, Datura, in October 2022, Boston Manor has made their highly anticipated return with the group’s first new music since then, dropping the crushing single “Container.” With the unveiling of new music from the UK mainstays after a year and a half, “Container” heralds a distinct shift in their sound, bringing with it deep-rooted growth and maturity that the five-piece wears well. Infusing their latest release with a larger-than-life feeling, the group crafts a sonic landscape teeming with dream-like synths, an array of distorted guitar tones, and thunderous drum arrangements. Yet amidst this… Read more »
For vocalist and guitarist Laura Jane Grace, love is in the air this winter season. The Against Me! founder married actress and comedian Paris Campbell in an intimate Las Vegas wedding on December 18. Dave Decker, @watson33569 on Instagram, shared photos from the wedding ceremony, which did, of course, feature an Elvis Presley impersonator. The couple opted for wedding attire true to their styles. Jane Grace wore a radiant floral blazer and Campbell donned a gothic, lacy black dress with a red, fringed jacket. Campbell also shared photos from the Little White Wedding Chapel commenting, “looking forward to a lifetime… Read more »
