The birds are chirping and the music is playing.
Bid farewell to your pillows, toss your comforter aside, it’s time to Rise Rock n’ Shine…
Who: Boston Manor fits so much emotion in three minutes, it’s impossible not to feel connected to the band.
What: The dark video for “Bad Machine”.
Why: Not only is Boston Manor’s new song deep, heavy, and haunting in the best ways, its black and white video is nothing short of striking. It’s all just very good.
FFO: idobi Radio
“We knew we wanted to capture some of the sleaziness of the track & condense the video down to a sequence of ‘moments’, almost like a movie trailer. The song has such massive differences in dynamics between the verses & choruses so it was important that we captured that in the video.” – Henry Cox, vocalist of Boston Manor

Who: From punk rock to indie pop, there’s nothing Kat Hamilton can’t do.
What: Her debut solo single “Letting Go”.
Why: “Letting Go” is so honest, it makes us wanna be BFFs with Kat right away. Sweet sounds and journal-worthy lyrics look good on the songstress.
FFO: idobi Anthm
“I wrote ‘Letting Go’ as a way of coming to terms with the bittersweet place I was at in my life… I had just moved to NYC and was buzzing with newness, but the girl that I loved had broken my heart just days before we were supposed to move there together. It was strange to be in this city full of possibility, but feel emptiness and loss.” – Kat Hamilton

Who: Matt Taelor has been rocking the stage since the age of four, so it’s safe to say he knows what he’s doing.
What: “California” AKA your new soundtrack for skateboarding or surfing or just pretending to be in California.
Why: It’s hipster. It’s folksy. It’s indie pop. It’s a Californian summer in a song and damn, does it make us feel good.
FFO: idobi Anthm
“‘California’ is an honest, joyful song that I want people to be able to sing at the top of their lungs in their cars with the volume cranked all the way up. It is about the incredible feeling I get and memories I make whenever I am out there.” – Matt Taelor for Pancakes and Whiskey

Who: Dan Lancaster has already helped all your favorite bands make music as a producer and now he’s making his own.
What: A truly one of a kind song called “Move a Mountain”.
Why: “Move a Mountain” has a delightfully weird intro but when you hit the chorus get ready to sing along. We’ll file this one under electro-funky.
FFO: idobi Anthm
“The song is about trying to remove thoughts from your head but ultimately having little control over it and the frustration with that. Despite the song coming from a darker place, it was a cathartic release writing it.” – Dan Lancaster
