Trent Reznor has crawled out of the depths of his depression with a snarling, gut-wrenching vengeance. Reznor, along with his backing band, put on a ferocious show at the Kool Haus last night that proved the frontman at least hasn’t lost his ability to summon up rage and helplessness and spit it all out in a violent live show. Cassadee Pope is boldly reclaiming her throne in pop-punk with the release of her latest venture “Almost There.” Marking her second new release of 2023 following “People That I Love Leave,” which Pope recently performed at the idobi Studios in LA, “Almost There” presents a juxtaposing feel compared to her previous single release. “Almost There” delves into a more sensual side of Pope’s songwriting that she’s previously left untapped.
