Jesse Rutherford, Lead Vocalist Of The Neighbourhood, Fronts New Hardcore Band


Hardcore’s growing popularity in the mainstream is evident. With Knocked Loose going viral, the genre has introduced a new avenue for some artists to explore. Que: The Neighbourhood’s vocalist Jesse Rutherford and his new band, Valley Girl. The new group has released a four-song demo on YouTube simply titled “Demo” that runs a little over 10 minutes. The songs sound similar to a ramped-up version of bands such as Turnstile that add indie spice to the mix with a sharpened edge to round out the finished piece. The Neighbourhood part ways with drummer


The Neighbourhood have parted ways with drummer Bryan Sammis. You can read a statement regarding the departure below. The band will still be hitting the U.K. in February, dates for which can be seen here. We wanted to let you all know that The Neighbourhood & Bryan “Olivver” Sammis are parting ways. The Neighbourhood release new song


It seems that The Neighbourhood were feeling the Christmas spirit this holiday season as they gave away two remix tracks for free, followed by a brand new track titled “Unfair.” You can stream the song and download it for free below. It’s part of their release  #000000 & #FFFFFF  (which means black and white, respectively) that also features another new track called “Silver” that saw its premiere on BBC Radio 1 a couple weeks back. “Unfair” is a mostly instrumental track but it’s the same dark, sultry sort of sound we’ve come to know and love from the band.

The Neighbourhood announce fall tour


The Neighbourhood will be hitting the road this fall on a US headlining tour, bringing Lovelife and Ghost Loft with them. They’ll also be playing a short run of dates in September opening for Imagine Dragons, and for a complete list of all of the dates click “Read More.”

The Neighbourhood have a new track titled “No Grey” that you can stream by hitting “Read More.” You’ll also find a new-ish song from The 1975, “Milk,” and both tracks will be available on a split 7″ that you can pick up on their current tour.
