Martin Scorsese’s long-awaited film “The Irishman” finally arrives in select theaters and on Netflix this fall. Inspired by the book “I heard you paint houses” by Charles Brandt, the movie dives into the confession of, the hitman and one-time labor union official, Frank Sheeran who claimed to have played a part in the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa. To paint a house is a polite euphemism for the work done by a hitman, a reference to blood spatter. A film based on the UK rockers Johnny Depp could be in line to play famed performer Freddie Mercury, according to recent reports. The Hollywood star, who was also recently linked to a biopic about hard rocker Ozzie Osborne, is said to be the first choice to play Mercury in a biopic financed and produced by Robert de Niro’s film company Tribeca Productions. Hollywood legend Robert de Niro and British rock giants Queen have promised “We Will Rock You” when their futuristic new musical packed with the band’s greatest hits opens in London this week.
