Following the release of three new American Idiot tracks and revealing their Punk Bunny Coffee holiday offerings, Green Day has a unique drop in honor of Dookie‘s 30th anniversary. The band has collaborated with BRAIN—the wild and wonderful art studio that brought you Fall Out Boy’s CRYNYL—to make DOOKIE DEMASTERED. Each song will be given new life by being put into formats that are “inconvenient” at best when it comes to listening. Examples include Big Mouth Billy Bass singing “Basket Case,” Teddy Ruxpin playing “Chump” and much more. Listen to your favorite song in a bizarre, nostalgic object by entering to… Read more »

Green Day will toast the release of American Idiot on Tuesday, but perhaps an even bigger cause for celebration these days is the 10-year anniversary of their breakthrough LP, Dookie. The modern-day classic not only launched the Bay Area punk trio into the mainstream, it opened the door to a mid-’90s wave of popped-up punk and provided a launching pad for the current crop of melodic pop-punkers. “[Dookie] changed my life,” confessed Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden. “It made me want to start Good Charlotte…. Right after that record came out, we were like, ‘We have to start a band in… Read more »

If you have a hard time getting to your cup of coffee to start your day, your morning could get a little more exciting. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of American Idiot, Green Day and Keurig have teamed up to drop an exclusive limited-edition brewer and coffee kit. This isn’t the first time the band has dabbled in coffee. In 2015, the group created Punk Bunny Coffee (formerly Oakland Coffee,) where they produced organic, Fair Trade Certified coffee.
