Green Day and Keurig Drop Custom ‘American Idiot’ Coffee Brewer

Green Day 2004

If you have a hard time getting to your cup of coffee to start your day, your morning could get a little more exciting. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of American Idiot, Green Day and Keurig have teamed up to drop an exclusive limited-edition brewer and coffee kit.

This isn’t the first time the band has dabbled in coffee. In 2015, the group created Punk Bunny Coffee (formerly Oakland Coffee,) where they produced organic, Fair Trade Certified coffee. Earlier this year, the company partnered with Keurig Dr Pepper to create their own K-Cup pods

“We are on the road celebrating 20 years of American Idiot all summer,” says Billie Joe Armstrong. “Our buses and back stages have been stocked with our coffee company’s first ever signature brewer. Now, we can finally announce this release and hope you guys love it as much as we do!”

The brewer itself is gorgeous. Sporting the iconic album artwork, lyrics from each track are also featured on the side panels of the machine. The bundle includes the custom American Idiot brewer, Punk Bunny Coffee K-Cup pods, a branded tumbler, and exclusive access to a Spotify playlist curated by Green Day.

“What’s impressive about Green Day is their unwavering passion for both their music and their coffee,” says Becky Opdyke, Senior Vice President of Coffee Marketing at Keurig Dr Pepper. “After working closely with the band on our Punk Bunny partnership, we were inspired to design a brewer that embodies their enthusiasm and celebrates one of their biggest accomplishments. We’re excited to deliver a piece of the band right to fans’ kitchen counters.”

The limited edition Green Day and Keurig collaboration is $159.99 and is available to purchase via Keurig.

Green Day recently announced the release date for American Idiot 20th Anniversary Deluxe edition. The album drops on October 25 and can be preordered and pre-saved here. The band are currently on the Saviors tour celebrating 30 years of Dookie and 20 years of American Idiot, performing both albums in full.
