After 22 years together, Derek Grant, the drummer of Alkaline Trio, has parted ways with the band. After the recent departure of their longtime drummer, Derek Grant, Alkaline Trio has made a killer announcement. Atom Willard, an incredibly talented musician who has performed with groups such as The Offspring, Angels & Airwaves, Against Me!, and more, will join the band as their new drummer. They are known as the Alkaline Trio, but the way the red-hot Chicago punk band goes through drummers, they could be called the Next in Line Trio. Since founding member Glenn Porter left the group a little more than a year ago, the trio have had three different drummers, and they’ll have a fourth by fall.
