Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba: 'Satanism's Fun'

Matt Skiba, lead singer and guitarist for Chicago punk purists Alkaline Trio, feels that there are a lot of misconceptions out there regarding Satanism, and, as a longtime member of Anton LaVey’s Church of Satan, can tell you that it’s not all fire, brimstone and threats of eternal damnation. Alkaline Trio Won't Let Spinal Tap Curse Slow Them

They are known as the Alkaline Trio, but the way the red-hot Chicago punk band goes through drummers, they could be called the Next in Line Trio. Porter was replaced by former Smoking Popes drummer Mike Felumlee, who left a year later to spend time with his family. Face to Face’s Rob Kurth filled in temporarily for Alkaline Trio’s breakthrough slot on Blink-182’s spring club tour. The group is now rehearsing… Read more »

Pitch A Tent and Go “Reel Big Fish”

It’s not all fun and games being in a ska band… Okay, maybe there is a lot of fun involved, but there’s also long nights of touring, a noise no headphones could cancel, and fear of being eaten alive in a tent—before we get to that, though, let’s introduce the world’s most skankin’ ska band, Reel Big Fish.
