Overview
When I heard With Confidence I felt confused. First I got that feeling that all music lovers get—you know it—the one where you feel ahead of the curve. But then confusion set in… why is the curve so damn slow sometimes? One listen of the Aussie group makes it obvious that the band has the legitimacy and energy of an act that could excel at Warped Tour, yet it’s also easy to draw comparisons to pop-rockers that sell out arenas worldwide.
With the release of their debut album Better Weather this week, if you want that “ahead of the curve” feeling I got, you have to go listen… today.
– Matt Vogel, idobi Music Director
“I grew up on The Starting Line, Good Charlotte, Cartel, plus all the mid-2000s pop-rock, and With Confidence is the first band I’ve heard in awhile to really capture that era’s sound again. The first time I heard “We’ll Be Okay” a few months ago I sang it for a week straight and still jam it all the time. I’m very stoked to catch them on Warped this summer and cannot wait to see how big they become after Better Weather comes out!”
– Fish, host of Gone Fishkin
“The hooks are irresistible, the lyrics memorable, and the music is just plain enjoyable. It’s literally the perfect mix of pop and punk, and basically everything I’ve wanted from this genre. Considering how long I’ve had “We’ll Be Okay” on repeat already, I’m pretty sure this band is going to soundtrack summer 2016 for me.”
– Hannah Pierangelo, idobi writer
“With Confidence borrows from a spectrum of genres to paint each of their songs unique but always memorizing. “Keeper” is especially vibrant, with melodic pop punk vocals and instrumentals taking influence from post-hardcore and even easy-core. This band is sure to keep you on your toes with every listen and I can only imagine how their energy translates live (is it Warped Tour yet?).”

Fun fact from the band:
“Little known fact about “Keeper”: it’s actually the first song that we wrote for Better Weather. And the reason it’s called “Keeper” is because when we initially heard it at band practice we all got really excited and said “this one’s a keeper”.”
