This week we welcome Moxy The Band to discuss their debut album, Dream Feeling. I love the album, and Amber DeLaRosa, Michael Franzino, and Dryw Owens were kind enough to walk me through some of my favorite songs and reflect on the writing process. As veterans in the music industry, it was beautiful to hear how they came together and the special relationship they forged in the process. I can’t wait for you all to fall in love with Moxy The Band! Enjoy the episode, and please share it with a friend.
The Nerds Present: A Kushmas Carol! A weed themed Christmas carol for all to enjoy! We made this is 2019, right after legalization really took hold. The nerds are back with an all new show and it’s a show of two vibes! We start out a little, a little how do you say….cranky. Per the usual when it comes to weed legalization and our criminal justice system. However! We don’t even huff and puff, we just puff in the second half of the show! We talk about all the victories cannabis has had in 2K22 and there are a plenty! We found the light in the hellscape that is this life and we hope you found it too! Or at least a lighter, you know, to… Read more »
Daniel McCartney is back! It’s been two years since he first launched The Continuance Foundation, a non-profit organization on a mission to bring mental health services to musicians at no cost. Daniel has been working in the touring industry for years, and when he noticed a lack of resources and support for musicians and their mental health, he decided to do something about it. Since we spoke in 2020, the foundation has continued to evolve and grow with new services and programs. Daniel and I have benefited from various resources, so I hope you’ll support his efforts to provide a more profound conversation regarding mental health.
The nerds are back and we are starting with some good news around these good ol’ US of A’s. Sasha reviews the latest strain she got from Apothecarium in NJ and we talk about lots of good advancements for cannabis in the country. Then it gets a little serious! We talk about the awful story of some reported over dosing (meaning taking over the dose recommended) on high THC edibles in children that has been being reported on, and wanted to give some perspective on all of it. Then we end with a good old fashioned Huff and Puff involving…E.coli… Read more »
