A.F.I. has canceled the remaining dates of their North American tour after singer Davey Havok was diagnosed with nodes on his vocal chords. A representative for the band’s record label revealed that doctors advised Havok to go home and rest his voice or else risk serious damage. The representative said that he is expected to make a full recovery, although it will take at least a couple of months. Christina Aguilera’s first and last videos from Stripped could not be more different, so it may come as a surprise that the same person directed both. David LaChapelle offered an easy explanation. “There’s all kinds of connotations to the word ‘stripped,’ ” said the visionary, who stripped Aguilera of her inhibitions and most of her clothes in the provocative “Dirrty”. Eminem (Marshall Mathers), Xzibit, Stuart Parr, and Eminem’s business manager Paul Rosenberg have all contributed their voices to the animated series, The Slim Shady Show. The series, which has been webcast on Eminem’s website (slimshadyworld.com), will be released on VHS and DVD later this month. The show focuses on the adventures of a group of young teenage males who look to a character named Slim Shady for guidance and leadership.
