This week I have long time friend and singer/songwriter A.J. Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer, I met him back in 2009 when I did my first tour with The Bigger Lights and we were opening for them. The Ready Set is full of surprises. After dropping several singles throughout 2023, the Jordan Witzigreuter-led project officially announced his forthcoming album, Cherryland. Our favorite Arizona band, The Maine have shared an incredible cover of “Cruel Summer” from Taylor Swift’s Lover album. The cover starts with soft, roomy guitars before pushing forward into a synth-driven chorus. John O’Callaghans vocals are somber and beautiful as always.
