We’re very excited to be launching our first tour blog of 2013 with former Spitalfield frontman Mark Rose. Mark will be spending the month of January out on the road playing 31 shows in 26 days, and he’ll be updating us on his adventures every Monday! Click “read more” to check out the first instalment.
In unfortunate news, Mike Naran, David Pait, and Dylan Taylor will be leaving Sparks The Rescue. The band will continue on with founding members Alex Roy and Toby McAllister, with plans to tour and record new music in the new year.
Slingshot Dakota pack an impressive punch considering the band consists of just two members: Carly Comando covering vocals and keyboards and Tom Patterson on percussion. The duo’s most recent release, Dark Hearts, transitions between plaintive songs that hang in the air residually like life’s difficult questions and fiercer, more gritty anthems enveloping Comando’s clear voice.

With their self-titled EP, Sparks The Rescue have taken everything that was great about their last album – the catchy lyrics, the progressiveness of their sound, that “get up and dance†attitude – and fused it with their old school style to create an unforgettable seven-track compilation sure to get you off your feet with their first independent release since parting ways with Fearless Records.
On The Gunz Show, Travis Clark of We The Kings revealed that the band were kidnapped by a man posing as their driver on their recent Malaysian tour. Listen to the interview to find out what happened.
