Despite frigid temperatures, fans lined up as early as noon Sunday before sold-out headliner New Found Glory rocked Boston, commemorating the 10th anniversary of its self-titled debut album.
SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. – A cold Saturday in the middle of January was not enough to dissuade a crowd of approximately 150 loyal fans gathered inside a converted warehouse for a good old-fashioned evening of sing-a-longs and hand clapping.
“You made your point when you said we fell apart / I had my words all chosen carefully / I broke your heart so gracefully†are merely a sampling of the lyrics that not so subtly transmit the angry barbs that populate Every You’s debut EP, A Change of Scene.
Vic Chesnutt, the folk-rocker whose sometimes dark reflections on life were influenced in part by a car wreck that left him paralyzed, has died. He was 45.

NEW YORK – Barely a year after it opened in Soho, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s New York annex is closing. The Cleveland-based parent Hall of Fame confirmed Friday that its New York affiliate, which required a $9 million investment and was part of a broader expansion plan, will shut its doors on Jan. 3.
Kiss will kick off their 35th anniversary tour, dubbed “Kiss Alive 35,” in “Rock City” Detroit. The Gods of Thunder will play two concerts at Motor City’s Cobo Arena, the venue where the band recorded their classic Alive! live album in 1975. To mark the occasion, Kiss will perform Alive! in its entirety at the Cobo shows, as well as their greatest hits and songs off their upcoming album Sonic Boom, out as a Walmart exclusive starting Oct. 6. MySpace, the popular social networking site, in partnership with MySpace Records and Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA, Inc., announced last week the official launch of Rock The Space, an exclusive competition that encourages unsigned bands or solo artists to submit an original song for the opportunity to score a recording contract with MySpace Records, the company’s full-service independent label. Through July 1st, 2009, aspiring artists across the country can enter the contest by visiting Toyota’s MySpace Music profile.
