All Time Low announces Warped Tour, We the Kings dates


All Time Low has just confirmed a string of dates on the main stage of this summer’s Vans Warped Tour, along with earlier support dates for We the Kings. The band will be touring in support of its forthcoming release, Nothing Personal, in stores July 7.   Having just recently finished a tour with Fall Out Boy, the Maryland foursome will jump on Warped Tour in Oceanport, N.J., and remain on until the the tour concludes in Los Angeles. Radiohead, R.E.M. work on new albums


A pair of the biggest bands in rock, Radiohead and R.E.M., hit the studio recently to begin work on their next albums. While both groups are in the beginning stages of writing and recording, they offered up some early details in a series of interviews. Radiohead have reconvened with longtime producer Nigel Godrich to start work on the follow-up of 2007’s In Rainbows. Record Store Day celebrates indie retailers


Despite the success of online retailers, explosion of Internet downloads and high-profile closings of Virgin Megastores and Tower Records stores, bricks-and-mortar record stores are not all spinning toward oblivion. Although hundreds of independent music retailers have gone out of business in recent years, about 2,000 are still around, and many are thriving. AUSTIN, Texas — It wasn’t just the legions of concertgoers wandering the streets who were twittering at South By Southwest Many of the acts were posting tweets throughout the music conference and festival, sometimes even on stage or during interviews. Jonas Brothers announce world tour dates


LOS ANGELES (Billboard) —  Nearly two weeks after the premiere of Disney’s “Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert” film, the sibling music act has unveiled dates for a world tour. The 44-date North American leg begins June 20 at the Dallas Cowboys New Stadium in Texas and wraps Aug. 31 at the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Before the North American arena dates, the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 will play a handful of dates in South America in mid-May and head to the United Kingdom and Europe in early June. Coldplay warms to summer tour


It’s probably safe to assume that Joe Satriani won’t be serving as Coldplay’s opening act when the band launches a North American tour this summer.
