Judge Gerald E. McNally of the 52nd District Court in Clarkston, Michigan will hear the case. Manson is free on $25,000 personal bail after a September 21 arraignment at the court. Marilyn Manson Posts Bail, Will Return To Michigan Court In November

Signing autographs and taking pictures with three fans who attended his arraignment Friday (September 21) in suburban Detroit, Marilyn Manson stood mute on criminal sexual conduct and assault-and-battery charges. The shock-rocker posted $25,000 personal bail at the 52nd District Court in Clarkston, Michigan, and will return for another arraignment on November 9 in Oakland County Circuit Court. The charges stem from a July 30 OzzFest appearance at the DTE Energy Music Theatre, at which a security guard alleges that Manson rubbed his genitals on the guard’s neck and body. Manson-who had been out of the country until earlier this month-wore… Read more »

High Court: School's Marilyn Manson T-Shirt Ban Ok

A former high school student says he had a free-speech right to wear Marilyn Manson T-shirts to class. But school officials banned them as offensive, and on Monday, the student lost a Supreme Court appeal. The court, without comment, turned down the Ohio student’s argument that school officials could not keep him from wearing T-shirts depicting Manson, a “shock rock” star who took his stage name from Marilyn Monroe and mass killer Charles Manson. Nicholas J. Boroff was a senior when he arrived at Van Wert High School in Van Wert, Ohio, in August 1997 wearing a Marilyn Manson T-shirt.… Read more »

Manson Settles Sex Suit

Once again, the problem of Marilyn Manson rubbing his thong-clad genitalia against unwitting concert security guards has been settled. The shock rocker reached a settlement with Detroit security guard Joshua Keasler, who sued Manson for sexual assault and emotional distress after Manson allegedly thrust his nether regions against Keasler’s visage during a July 2001 performance. Given that Manson was clad only in a skimpy thong and pantyhose at the time, Keasler’s discomfit was understandable. The two camps apparently agreed upon an appropriate settlement last month and the lawsuit was dismissed Jan. 28. Terms of the settlement remain confidential. Keasler’s civil… Read more »

Manson's Six Flags Mis-Adventure

The amusement park has banned controversial rocker Marilyn Manson from performing at Six Flags Darien Lake on August 11 when the 2003 Ozzfest tour rolls into town, claiming his act is inappropriate for the venue. (Shhh. Don’t tell ’em about Ozzy’s satanic past-maybe they missed the bat-chomping story?) The shock-rocker, whose latest album, The Golden Age of Grotesque, debuted at number one in May, is considered one of the bill’s headliners, alongside the likes of Korn, Ozzy Osbourne and Voivod. So far, Darien Lake, in upstate New York, is the only venue on the 30-city tour to nix Manson’s performance.… Read more »

Ozzy Croons And Moons, Manson Rocks With Private Parts, Killswitch Kill At Ozzfest Stop – Review

Ozzy crooned, mooned and squirted his water guns, Disturbed bellowed, and Marilyn Manson vamped it up, but Ozzfest has always been just as much about the lesser-known acts, and Sunday’s show was no exception. Though bands like Kilgore, Pushmonkey and the perhaps aptly named No One have proven that Ozzfest exposure alone won’t make you famous, second-stage alumni System of a Down and Slipknot can attest that it certainly doesn’t hurt. Killswitch Engage’s potential spot in the Slipknot category seemed all but assured even before they appeared at Dallas’ Smirnoff Music Centre. Even though it was only the second show… Read more »
