Support announced for Hit The Lights/The Dangerous Summer tour


Such Gold, The Story So Far, and Divided By Friday will join Hit The Lights and The Dangerous Summer for the Take The Fall Tour. Such Gold will drop off at the end of November to head back into the studio, at which point The Story So Far will join.

Record Store Day highlights


As Record Store Day approaches on April 16, the fourth annual event continues to be an increasingly valued channel through which to sell music.

The number of stores expected to participate will be about the same as last year: about 1,400 around the world.

Celebrity photographer lights up Paris museum


He’s photographed Princess Diana in diamonds, Madonna in lingerie and top model Gisele Bundchen in the buff. But celebrated French photographer Patrick Demarchelier says none of the hundreds of pop culture icons he’s immortalized in his more than 30 years behind the lens can compare with his dog, whom he calls “the perfect model.” An exhibition at Paris’ Petit Palais museum brings together more than 400 of Demarchelier’s renowned portraits, including, of course, a ravishing shot of Puffy the long-haired dachshund. Surprise performance by U2 delights fans


U2 stars Bono and The Edge showed up unannounced and played as a warmup act at a charity concert in London. The show delighted the 250 people who attended the fundraiser on Friday night for Mencap, a charity that campaigns for equal rights for children and adults with learning disabilities. “Don’t tell Larry (Mullen) and Adam (Clayton) we’ve done this,” Bono joked about his other two band mates from the small stage at London’s Union Chapel.
